Dr. Kakha NADIRADZE

Dr. Kakha Nadiradze is a Georgian scientist and agricultural expert known for his long-standing work in sustainable agriculture, biodiversity conservation, rural development, and food safety systems. He has contributed to both national and international programs aimed at improving agricultural productivity while protecting environmental resources.

Dr. Nadiradze earned his Doctor of Agricultural Sciences (PhD) degree in agrobiodiversity conservation from Georgian Agricultural University in 2006. His academic training focused on the conservation of agricultural biodiversity, biotechnology, and sustainable agricultural systems. In addition to his doctoral studies, he completed professional certification in farm data management through the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, strengthening his expertise in agricultural data systems and modern farm management.

Throughout his career, Dr. Nadiradze has accumulated more than two decades of professional experience working in government institutions, scientific organizations, and international development programs. Among his responsibilities, he worked as a leading specialist for agrarian issues in the Parliament of Georgia and later served as Director of the Biotechnology Center under the Ministry of Education and Science. He also led activities related to sustainable development policy at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, where he supported initiatives addressing environmental protection and agricultural modernization.

In addition to government service, Dr. Nadiradze has been actively involved in civil society and international cooperation. He has served as President of the Association for Farmers Rights Defense, where he worked to promote farmers’ interests, strengthen agricultural communities, and improve rural livelihoods. He has also participated in international scientific networks, contributing to collaborative research and policy discussions focused on climate-smart agriculture, food safety, and biodiversity conservation.
